Designed in the rustic style of old timber-framed houses and clearly influenced by British style, this 1860s' building was classed as a Monument Historique in 2000.
It was one of the 'Maisons fabriques' inspired by the landscape designs of the Comte de Coulot that combine Classical, Gothic and English influences.
Today, this historic place hosts a variety of arts and music events all year round.
